Welcome to a day of ultimate pleasure in the richest Marine Park at the Kenyan Coast. Our tour starts early in the morning to the tranquility of the fishing village of Shimoni (the place of caves). We will drive through lush coconut and cashew nuts plantations as well as the colourful villages of the Digo people.<\/p>\n
At Shimoni we will board on an authentic motorized Lamu dhow, which will cruise and sail you through an enchanting seascape of Islands to the underwater splendors of the Kisite Marine Park. Here snorkelers will marvel at the incredible variety of marine life in the shallow and warm waters around Kisite Island; the venue for numerous birds species. There will be a chance for those who are willing to do Scuba diving. You will be amazed to see millions of colorful fishes, turtles among other sea creatures and the untouched coral garden under water. You can have a walk at the sand bank or sunny yourself. (Note this depends on the tides).
\nLater you will board again your dhow which will take you to Wasini Island for appetizing sea food lunch: fish, crabs, sea weeds, non-seafood and vegetarian dishes served with traditional coconut rice, potatoes and chapatti, followed by a local dessert.
\nAfter lunch, you will have a walk in a traditional Muslim village to see the everyday life of the locals and a story will be told about this island which was dominated by Arabs many years back during the slave trade. You can visit the island community project run by the Wasini ladies group, or explore the mangroves.
\nOur tour finishes late afternoon returning to your hotel in Mombasa.<\/p>\n
* Equipment for scuba diving and snorkeling is available. Scuba diving does not include lessons. Only for qualified divers<\/p>\n
