Lovely daily Dhow Trip to Kisite & Mpunguti Marine park.

TOUR DESCRIPTION

This excursion from Mombasa offers a variety of experiences off the Kenyan coast, from dolphin spotting to snorkeling to seafood. Aboard an Arabian-style Dhow, a traditional style of sailboat used in the Indian Ocean region, watch for dolphins who often swim beside the boat, and stop at a reef to see the weird and wonderful creatures that live underwater from a glass-bottomed Dhow, without getting wet.

You’ll have lunch on Wasini Island, enjoying fresh fish and crab brought daily to the beach by local fishermen, non-seafood, and vegetarian dishes served with traditional coconut rice, chappatis (a type of flatbread), and spicy Swahili sauce. Your meal is followed by a tropical fruit platter, Arabic coffee, and traditional simsim (sweets).

Spend the afternoon at leisure on the island; you can relax around the natural lagoon, visit the island community project run by the Wasini ladies group, or explore the mangroves. Our tour finishes late afternoon returning to your hotel in Mombasa.
