TOUR DESCRIPTION
The Maasai Mara National Reserve is globally famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards and cheetahs, and the annual migration of zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year, known as the Great Migration. All members of the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, African elephant, cape buffalo, and black rhinoceros) along with hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and bat-eared foxes are found in the Maasai Mara. Hippopotami and crocodiles are found in large groups in the Mara and Talek rivers.
Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
Pick up at 7:00 am from your hotel then transfer to Wilson Airport, fly to world’s famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve. On arrival start a game drive in a safari jeep en route to the lodge. Have a chance to view The Big Five; Buffalos, Elephants, Lions, Leopards and Rhinos. Other kinds of animals spotted here are giraffes, impalas, monkeys, Gazelles and different bird’s species check in as well for lunch. More afternoon game drives at this jewel park of Kenya. Dinner and overnight at the Camp or Lodge.
Day 2: Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
Spend a whole day viewing wildlife in Maasai Mara Game reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Have a chance to see the “Big Five”: Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and Leopard. Wildebeests, Zebras, Cheetahs and Gazelles, other kinds of African wildlife can also be easily spotted. Witness the famous wildebeests (Gnu) and zebra migration from Serengeti (Tanzania) to Maasai Mara (Kenya) between July to September; this movement is one of world wonders. Maasai Mara being the stomping ground of the Great Migration, a massive accumulation of 1.5 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras and 350,000 gazelles stretching their legs over 1,200 miles in an annual race to find enough water and green grass for their survival. More afternoon game drives at this jewel park of Kenya. Dinner and Overnight Camp or lodge.
Day 3: Maasai Mara Game Reserve- Nairobi.
Depart after breakfast for the last game drive, later proceed for lunch. Fly back to Nairobi in the afternoon then transfer to your hotel.
